Is My Obsession with Indoor Plants… Healthy?

So, here’s the thing. I talk to my plants.

Every. Single. Day.

Mother-in-Law’s Tongue, Bird of Paradise, Spider Plants, Peace Lilies, Pothos, Devil’s Ivy, Palms, Monstera (even a Thai Constellation baby) ~ they all get their daily pep talks. And yes, they’re thriving. (Coincidence? I think not)

Now, I’m about to add a Maidenhair Fern to the mix, even though every plant human I know has warned me they’re more temperamental than a Wi-Fi router in the middle of a storm. But hey ~ I love a challenge.

But is this obsession… healthy?

Actually, the science says yes:

♡ Air quality glow-up: Plants like Peace Lilies and Snake Plants are natural air purifiers, removing toxins and pumping out oxygen.

♡ Mood magic: Studies show being around greenery lowers stress and boosts concentration. Translation: plants are cheaper than therapy (you’re welcome)

♡ Built-in mindfulness: Watering, pruning, repotting ~ it’s like sneaky meditation. You can’t scroll Instagram with soil under your nails.

♡ Companionship without the drama: Plants don’t ghost you, text back at 2 a.m or eat the last Tim Tam. They just quietly grow and vibe with you (It’s ok Wick, I’m not leaving you for our plants…..yet!)

So yeah, maybe I am that crazy plant lady. But if a little extra oxygen and leafy company is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.

Plants don’t just decorate a space, they stage a full-on intervention. They’re the kind of quiet, leafy therapists we never knew we needed and the only ones who don’t charge by the hour ♡

From my jungle to yours ♡
