There’s this invisible string that ties us to our babies ~ one that never really fades, no matter how old they get (my oldest is 25!)
I feel it every day. A gentle tug when I think of them, a pull when they’re struggling, a little spark of calm inside me when I know they’re ok ♡
They might be out there living their own beautiful, messy lives, but that string still connects us ~ heart to heart ♡
Sometimes I catch myself thinking, “Should I message again?”And then I laugh because I already did. Twice! (Ok, maybe three times 😅)
I’d message more, but I don’t want to give off stage-five stalker mum vibes!
Being a mum is the wildest, most beautiful contradiction ~ you spend years teaching them how to walk their own path……and then the real work begins: learning how to let them go.
Trusting that you’ve packed their bags well enough with everything they’ll need to walk this world on their own.
And even as they wander far, that invisible string stays. It stretches, but it never breaks.
So to all the mummas out there ~ the tired ones, the proud ones, the quietly worrying ones:
We see you.
We salute you.
We honour you.
Thank you for growing the kind of humans this earth needs.
The ones who may wander far, but always carry a piece of you inside them ♡ You’re doing right ♡
Love mumma Rain x
